Pitch

In a post-apocalyptic future caused by wars and natural disasters, several forms of intelligent life strive to build their societies on the ruins of the past. Amongst the human population, some seek for adventure and to make sense of this new tarnished world.

My work in this project

Level Design

​

   - Environment research

   - Blockout of several zones

   - Post-apocalyptic environmental narration 

The asked blockouts were diverse in many ways : purpose, scale, realism, content and many other factors, allowing me to face a variety of interesting challenges while improving my creativity and problem solving skills among others. This experience also further introduced me to environmental narration and its particularities, as for example the narrative depth it allows to create as well as the production needs it can demand.

Game Design

​

   - Research on skill trees and crafting systems

   - Partake in the creation of a skill tree

   - Partake in the creation of a crafting system

   - Work on the balancing of :

        - Player progression

        - Enemy progression

This experience allowed me to explore, question and understand some of the most iconic features and systems of RPG games. Being a genre I truly appreciate, I realized the large room for improvement I still have before me and I'm happy to have started to learn  part of the skills necessary for such a project.
